Mrs zeke's last car was an ea multipoint. At every service, I was asked if I wanted an injector clean. Always said no.

Traded the car at 12 years and 230,000k with the fuel system and motor apparently working perfectly and feeling like it had all it's original power.

(head gaskets were another story)

So I reckon the go is to be careful where you buy petrol and don't bother with injector cleaning unless there seems to be a problem in that department.

regards

zeke

No scientific proof to support my claim, but I am convinced the car is more responsive and accelerates better after the 15K service....... :alien:

I'm not gonna touch that one of Ken's!

Hang on....did it again.

Seriously. Got about 13k up now and it just bloody flies. However its made me greedy and I gotta have more. Called in to "Tony Motsons Turbo" centre Coopers Plains yesterday and they have 6 stage 1 APS systems due in any day.

Franticly trying to seduce SHMBO into releasing a couple of gorillas so I can get me the extra 40.

Reckon I might just be happy with that. Just want a standard looking thing that can better the old ton (100mph) at the end of 400.

Happy happy.

Please darling....yes yes, the vacuuming, unpack the dishwasher? of course. What, a foot massage....immediatly my dear. Oh, yes of course......that to, a bit later.

Hmmmm.

Lovely lovely kilowatts & newton metres.

richdave ,what oil did you have put in? Maby that's the story?

Yes the oil can assist with making more kW, but a V8 Supercar that we sponsor did (and still does) a bunch of testing for us and he found a straight viscosity change was worth maybe 15-20 fwhp.

That's OK, but he started with around 600hp.

The one major difference it can make is that it makes the engine seem more RESPONSIVE, hence the feeling that there is more GO.

SO.....maybe it IS the Castrol I put in the sump (Ken!!)

Although I have never drunk engine oil to get better lubrication there was this lovely little asian lass in Penang (when I was in the RAN, single and a pay-day baron) that was a little dry.................(funny, I can hear Barbara Streisland now!!!!) :D
