As I had to slow down for another car turning or a set of lights I cannot remember she pulled out a notepad and pen, it was at this time that the guy in ther other car yelled out his window and thanked me and said dont worry mate I will block her.

Gee with all this talk of writing down plates of sh*t drivers and dobbing them to the local cop shop. Save yourself the trip and give 1800 333 000 Australia wide a ring. Its called crimes stoppers and will allow you all to get this off your chest. Most of the time with bad driving and road rage, ppl feel better when they rock up to a police station and tell them all about it. Its like this enormous relief that ppl get by telling someone in authority about how bad some idiot was driving. In the greater scheme of life is it really going to change anything other than to make a winger feel better?

9 times out of 10, the use of a horn, while your already up there bum will cause them to freak out and apply the breaks. It is not a normal reaction for people to plant the accelerator when they hear the sounding of a horn up there bum.

There ignorance or inattentive driving does not excuse tail gaiting or horns/headlights.

My point exactly!

I had this $200 renult 12 as my first car, and I'd get it up to 110,

then go up a big hill on the tuggeranong hwy, if I kept my foot flat,

it'd do 100 all the way to the top, but if I backed off, I'd only be able to do 80,

anyways there was this woman sitting in the right lane doing 100,

me next to her in the left doing 100 and some dude flogging up passing everyone behind us,

he got right up behind her, lights horn everything, she steadfastly refused to even look in the mirror

he moved in behind me (in the left lane) and tried the same sh1t, nothing I could do,

I was going as fast as I could and be buggered if I was going to slow down.

he pulled back into the right lane and as the woman was now nearly a car length in front of me,

he made swerves at me in an attempt to intimidate me to slow down.

Talk about an empty threat, his new car vs my $200 renult? I laughed and pointed at the denty panels I'd prefer him to hit....

now...thinking back on this, technically, he was a twit and the right lane hog was just as bad, but what if he was rushing to the hospital?

Canberra was full of people who travel in the right lane at the speed limit and think they're doing a public a service by slowing down every one else,

but hey, you never can know WHY they're speeding can you?

leave the policing to the police.

if a member of the general public see's it they are just a whinger....

Yes of course. And if your house is broken into and your valuables stolen you are also a whinger if you report this to police. They do have much more pressing issues to deal with and numbers are stretched tight.

After all, they are too busy out there booking potential killer speeding motorists who are doing walking pace over the speed limit and kids on bikes without there stack hats on to worry about this type of petty crime!  :spoton::stupid::nyaah:

Have to agree with sixfan on the "you dont know why they are speeding"

I have actually been rushing to hospital on two occasions only to get stuck behind some smart arse - in that case I must admit I have started to wave my hands and flick my lights etc... but in the most part like I said with the first point...

Either way just get the FARK OUT OF THE WAY... Let the cops catch the guys that are wankers on the road!!!

Twice in my 12 yrs of driving (over 30 thou ave each year), I have seen drivers that I believe where seriously reckless...

Once heading into Canberra, and funny enough the cops had me on the fone and were sending a highway patrol car out that was in the area to catch up to us... and talk to this guy... he was one crazy fool... at one point I had actually stopped on the highway and he did the same, I had a go at him and then left him for dust, only to find that he followed and caught up a few k's down the road... cops found us/him on the other side heading out towards cooma... silly *beep*!

The other was a few weeks ago on Windsor Road - swear the guy was pissed and driving, cut us off twice, and we were in the left hand lane, then at the lights on top of the M2, he just sat there and would move, so I jumped out of the car he fired up and well words started flying... Da Gurly called the cops as she saw I was starting to get really lebo like with this guy and well the cops asked us to go in and speak to them as they could hear the guy on speaker fone... as we drove away he also kicked the car - lucky he didnt do any damage... but they paid him a visit, however was to late to do a bretho so we can only assume he was pissed with the smell and slurying of words... Silly Silly man!!!

I reackon the left lane is the fast lane now.

I regularly come back on Pennant Hills Rd after fishing towing the boat and always use the left lane as there is never anyone in it, the same goes for Castle Hill Rd. I would estimate it saves me 10mins on my trip.

I do probably 140-150ks a day, up and down the Calder and on the Western Ring Road to work.

Some days I could go insane with people sitting in the right lane.

Or the good old classic, they are going dead slow, there is a truck in the left lane going slower up ahead, you move to the right to overtake both, and they suddenly panic and decide they want to cut you off and go first.

Then they end up sitting next to the truck for 5kms because they can't decide what speed they want to do?
