Id just wait for a panel filter to be released, they work better than the pod unless its the sound your after.

N the reason you'd keep it in the box is cause an open pod filter in the engine bay can suck in oil deposits which get on your oxygen sensor and can cause flat spots.

Believe me ive had it happen

yeah that's why I wanna put it in the box ... so it doesnt suck hot hair... might need to open the box and have a look inside see if it can be done... extra sound wouldn,t be a bad thing :)

does anyone have a pic of inside the air box?

Might be worth a look at, im no pro as far as cars go, far from it actually but I have a feeling that the sound you get from a pod is because it is in the open and u can hear the point where the air is being dragged through

mount the pod in the airbox. and cut the front right off the airbox for full air flow, while retaining the 3 other sides for heat shields :)

I'm not sure how different the FG airbox is to the BA.. but when I first put the pod in my BA airbox I used a silicon 3" bend, jammed it into the pipe in the top of the airbox, and put the filter around it. You can use alimunium pipe too, but it's not flexibile so it'd have to be the right size to be tight.

Measure the diametre of the inside of the pipe in the top of the airbox, then get something to match.. most speed shops will have what you need..

Or you can customise the box like I ended up doing.. or was the word butcher..?

Hi Matte,

I have a question for you. When you put the pod air filter into the BA airbox did you get a good induction noise? I have just fitted the F6 lower intake and a k&n air filter. I was hoping for more induction noise. Thanks.
