If you are going to Toowoomba , inland New England Highway takes you straight there

pacific hwy is alright if your doing it overnight , it sucks during the day , even more with all the road works going on at the moment

get a uhf and use chanel 29 north of sydney to the border the trucks are always one step ahead with whats goin on and their pretty good at spotting speed traps too

Just got back after going from southern highlands to rocky.

went inland up and coast road back.

The coast road sucks big time to much road works and speed cams

As our06t said uhf would come in handy.

In 15hrs of driving inland seen two bull wagons an no highway patrols

Hope this helps

Yeah the bloody roadworks - nothing like seeing a big flashing sign...ROADWORKS AHEAD, NEXT 32 KM :innocent:

Don't forget regardless of which way you come up it will be an hour less than your trip back :spoton:
