More to the point, Alcohol plus Mick does not equal Work!

Just make sure you keep it under lock and key until the job is done Sly or he could end up repairing the G6ET :beerchug:

It goes without saying that alcohol will be consumed afterwards.

Nah man, im off the beers, trying to shed another 10 kegs to get to my goal weight.

I had to do a formal run in the XC the other night, the kid was shocked that I turned away a box of Crownies for a 12pk of Gatorade instead......

We'd also need some sheet metal, and some tin snips to cut it with, ive got enough Vise Grips and grinders etc.

Pffft, just go to the local wreckers, and get a guard or a door off something old school, something with a bit of metal. Any Falcon or Commodore/Kingy with a decent, rust free panel will be fine to cut up.

You need a decent panel, one that can handle being welded OK without warping, that's why the newer school metals are no good, they are too thin and buckle up when welded, grinded, and filed smooth. Im sure you can tell the difference between the metal used on the Zephyr and the G6!!!! There's no school llike old school.

Oh yeah, grab some sheet cardboard, so we can make some templates. Have you also got access to body stuff, ie you will need a smidge of filler, and also some primer. If you leave the freshly welded panels too long they develop surface rust and look poo. Especially down your way.

Oh, yeah, some sausages and onions too. Not for the car, for lunch.

I can buy 2-3mm sheet steel locally, I need a big piece because the tray floor is nonexistant anyway and I was hoping to use one piece, I'm going to cover it with timber anyway. I'll try and organise some supplies.

So far I need.

Tin snips

Bog

Etch Primer, Primer

new spray gun the old one is crap, I have a small compressor.

Steel

Steak, sausages, onions, and a plain salad with no dressing oh and desert.
