Only made comment after 20pounds post mentioning "a stick welder with a hammer" conjoured up images of a caveman. Not intending to diss anyone here it was only an observation of the posts as I thought it was amusing. And anybody that knows me will know that if I can lend a hand with anything I will. My name on the forums is Tigwelder, not Worlds greatest tigwelder and was definitely not implying that im any better than anyone else here. Chich Damn You's A Sexy Chich Member 3,843 Member For: 16y 11m 2d Gender: Male Location: Your House Posted 04/12/08 10:41 AM Share Posted 04/12/08 10:41 AM 1mm fresh new sheet will be your best bet, try not to use old stuff as a lot of it is rubbish to weld, also get your hands on some zinc based weld through primer and wurth brand rust converter to convert any slight surface rust in behind panels, and use the zinc primer between panels to cover any bare metal.acid based 1k epoxy will be your best bet to coat the outsides of the panels once they are welded in place and repaired :stupid2: dont forget when your weldin it, do one tack at a time and make sure there is roughly a 1mm gap around the whole join or buckling will definately occur Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Grind down, do a bit of hammer work to bring shape up or down, file here n there, smear in bog to fill pin holes from welding, jobs done.Pat Bronson, tell him he's a good boy, as all German Shepherds are, move onto next panel! The hardest repairs look like the quarters, especially the corners and the tail light, but we'll get there, just gotta use your head, take your time, and dont move onto another panel until one is completely finished.Unfortunatly we lost Bronson this morning although we had 13 and a bit good years.
