I've found my xr does it as well, mainly it's due to sh*tty Sydney roads. Ken if I were you I would be dropping you pressures to about 34psi, any higher than that & you will get a harsh ride and uneven wear. Just a thought :D

I have two xr ba utes both with 18 inch wheels,we had wheel balance issues and also front alignment issues, there xr6t was way outin alignment. the wheels were balanced twice and both times the shudder came back, was really annoying at about 90kph, I had the tyres replaced at 10 000klm :(, I it is a completely different car to drive, absolutely no balance issues (I have done 4000 klm on them)

but the biggest improvement is the car does not follow the ruts in the road at all,it used to tramline everewhere, it is so much better now!

the dunlop tyres that are fitted to the fords are directional tyres and generally they have tramline issues,

the non directionals I have fitted now, have changed it completely.

My car tramlines sometimes, but only at very low speeds (usually just before I stop at traffic lights, so only about 5kmh). Because it only happens occasionally and at very low speeds, I haven't worried about it. My car has 18's BTW.

Hi everyone, new to the forum

Yeah I'm with BlueXR6Turbo. Mine tramlines at low speeds when braking to stop at the lights, mainly on uneven road surfaces. I run 40psi all round with after market 18s and bridgestone so3 rubber.

I ownwed a tyre service for a long time so I can tell you that most "directional" tyres will tram track at some stage of thier life (ie 18" tyres on XR's) What varies the most is driver perception and they tram track far less with lower K's but "asymetric" tyres as fitted in most 17" XR applications will tram track less but you can still notice at bit at times as I have with my xrt
