I turn t/c off when I start the car. the ba t/c doesnt work 2 good when the car's been modified anyway, usually turn's itself off once it starts spinning so id rather have it off. besides my right foot is my t/c.

...do I need to keep giving examples such as this witty young fella...

drive within your limits this man (boosted xr) speaks the truth,if ya cant drive it dont buy it.

I think the reason why they put the stability control on is simply due to ppl who are inexperienced in driving with a LSD diff I am a culprate to it I used to own an el with a single spinner but when I took my car on the track with stability control off it feigtened the crap out of me untill I got used to driving with an LSD diff it

I'm surprised so many people are having issues with tc, mine allows for a bit of slip and even when it does interrupt during minor slip it's not violent at all. It's only violent when doing something which would result in a fair bit of wheel spin, and hard shifting in to second (270rwkw manual), so when I want to have fun it's easy to tun off.

While I was doing advanced driver training the guy asked me to turn it on and go around the wet skid pan few laps and the car was still going sideways, he was surprised it allowed that much slip, I did have pretty f*cked tyres but still.

Maybe tc needs to be tuned accordingly for higher powered cars, can't expect a tc software which was designed for a 200rwkw car to work well on something with twice the power.

DSC, does it actually do anything? I cant tell the difference if its on or not

it doesnt feel like its doing anything to control traction at all, it flashes when I lose traction, but that's about all....

how is it supposed to work? it seams pretty useless to me

I have a BFII XR6T, 6 speed manual, maybe its suits autos better?

How to test DSC:

1. Go into a corner waaaay too hot,

2. hit the brakes mid corner like you have a death wish

3. watch DSC do its magic and keep the car from spinning out.

DSC and TC are linked on the BF> I.e you can have both on or off, but not seperatly.

If you want to test DSC, do it on wet grass and see how well it keeps the car in a straight line.

DSC is a real life saver and anyone who turns the DSC off in their car is stupid as it might save you life.

Easy way to test it is to hold a low gear at high rpm in a corner and just drop the throttle. And yes on wet grass. And have a spare diff ready.

Guess whats holding up the release of the new V8
