I would say go for it, if it has not been sold already.

Make sure you check it out thoroughly as it could be a rebirth or stolen.

Its very similar to my old Mustang that I used to own.

M code 351 means 4V heads & quite possibly a 4 bolt crank as well although this isnt always the case.

My car was also plated & converted to RHD by Ford Aust. in 1971, only a few cars were done by Ford that year so its fairly rare.

Hope this helps.

hard to say without seeing the car myself, but definately go over everything, try and find out who restored the car (if it has been) and make sure everything has been done to a high standard, also look for any sign of rust (as 2fardown has said) stick your head in every little nook and cranny you can. but just look for the signs that it has been well looked after. and have a good look at the underside of it as well for any rust in the subframe/chassis as these things can be a pain to fix...

Havent really been keeping up with current prices but given the current economic climate I wouldnt be surprised to see prices fall a bit over the next 12 months or so.

Still, 40k at the moment seems reasonable.

Wish I had a crystal ball.
