I've been offered some rda's slotted rotors for my T(front and rear). To get rid of my shudder. The question, is it stupid to put these on with the factory pads(Bout 50% left)?

Are the factory pads to hard, and ruin my new discs quick?

Cheers Pete

It would be best to change the pads to whatever you want. New discs will enjoy new pads. The factory pads are very standard and there are far better alternatives available. Those reccomendations will shortly follow. Mine's Ferodo formula.

your old pads will be worn to the shape of your old disc so they will not contact properly with the new discs.

New rotors = new pads.

This will cause a loss of surafce area that the pads are able to bite into. New pads will form to the new discs biting into a larger surface area.

One of the theories behind brake shudder is the construction of the OEM pads...so I'd definitely be replacing the little bastards :tonguepoke:
