Guest Guests Posted 26/11/08 11:18 PM Share Posted 26/11/08 11:18 PM Could be done as Senna has said but why?All the associated costs/effort used to pull them out might as well go toward the costs of locating/travelling to/using a 4wd DD Dyno. I'd imagine that having the AWD in play whilst tuning would be pretty important as there would be more load on the engine rather than just having 2 wheels hooked up. Could cause problems with the tune when all wheels are being driven on the street after a 2wd tuning session... Ie pinging, torque limiting, limp mode

I have had a few awd/fwd cars eg Gtr that I have be able to remove front drive shaft allowing to be run on 2wd dyno hence my question. Im just wondering if it can be done. If it is not I will just buy a 2wd and do a engine swap but I would much pefer a AWDThanks

No problems with it, but won't give a true awd power readout (rwd gives more power)...
