My car vibrates like hell from the rear at 100+kph and has only done so since Ford replaced my diff bush and the other two bushes either side of it. Would you think the vibration is from the different bush or could it possibly be the bearings as mentioned above?

I think that's a reasonable price considering they would've more than likely dropped the rear cradle which can take some time

Well they had to drop the cradle as the bearings were done aswel.

side note do you know if the diff centres are prone to being noisy? had the bearings done at 110k which were making noise at 80-100kmphr quite loud that you could here in the cabin over a low volume stereo. after bearings bushes done still have noise but its not as noisy. the mechanic wasnt to happy as he said the centre looked perfect compared to some hes seen but it had noise. due to that issue he said would give me a good price to do new centre ( higher gears) down the track when I start chasing power.

I have seen it sort of mentioned on the forum just wondering is all I can put up with it for now just abit disappointing that its still a young car ( in my eyes) with issues.

Hi R SPEC

My guess would be wheel bearings not diff bearings to give you the shakes but im no expert. Also have you looked at your rubber? If the tyres start to de-laminate (fall apart from the carcase ) they would give you wobble/ shakes aswel. I would get that checked out though, for sure

Yeah mate, the BAs did have a bit of whiney diff issues, I don't think there is a great deal you can do about it, I know of a bloke that went through 7 diffs to not have the issues fixed! :innocent:

When you replace the main diff bush with a nolathane equivalent, noise levels in cabin does increase, due to the nolathane being a stiffer material therefore transmitting noise / mechanical vibration directly into the chassis. The reason Ford engineered the rear bush to be so soft, is to mask this noise.

R-spec, not sure about your vibration, sounds a little worse than just the usual diff whine? Perhaps the rear cradle hasnt been re-aligned correctly. A special tool must be used to ensure the cradle is re-fitted square with the chassis.
