Hey, welcome to the forums!

Could be a myriad of things unfortunately; valve seats, piston rings, or have you noticed the car being slightly sideways when it happens? maybe a traction problem??

  • Still have a turbo, it's just on a diesel.

Sounds like its running a bit rich and is fairly standard if its a stock tune, should not be a problem but keep an eye on it and if it gets worse get it checked out.

What colour is the smoke?

If it's black, it might be running rich, like seventytwo said.

But if it's white or blue it could be oil smoke.

Need to keep an eye on it.

I see a lot of modded cars doing this, as for stockers? not sure

Saw a modded F6 blow a bit when he stepped on it (n flogged me)

Saw a bloody turbo'd lancer do it (when he was pulling away from me)

Mine does it as its modified, I think its the initial flattening of the pedal that does it and its only a puff of black smoke first up.

If it keeps smoking while your into it then I would get it checked out otherwise I wouldn't bother
