My apologies on the wrong transitive verb  . But yes, you got my drift.

The long waiting game is fine - The ACCC will bring the action on behalf of the wronged, thereby costing the defendant little to nothing.

I believe another strength is lodging written complaints...

All the same, I hope things work out favourably for the topic starter.

that's why you dont buy a first model of a new car, wait until the FGII comes out or even the one after that, by then they should have addressed all the issues. Same with the B series, the finally got everything right by the BFII. Not particually fussed on the FG, would rather a BFII

eh?

By your rationale a BA mkII would be more reliable than a BF?!

I had my the heater hose fixed on my BA Coon as the one above the turbo split. Towed to the dealer, picked it up & the car had an extra 40kms on the clock. The car has been going to CV ever since.

Guys,

As many of you would already know there are so many ways to deal with these pricks but heres the one I found works the best.

No one likes a customer that nags so you got to get them on your side by making them sympathise with you. You just bought a new car it cost you a lot of money and you need it to be running right because its effecting your work blah blah blah bringing it back all the time.

Call the dealer principle tell him about your concerns and that you want to work with them to get the problem sorted. He will refer you to his customer service manager who has no option but to listen and help you out because his BOSS just refered you to him directly.

Write a list up like one of the other guys on here mentioned and offer to leave it with them for as long as they want even a week if they need it and tell them that you dont want to take it back until its fixed. If you drive it out... and theres a rattle its coming straight back in for another week and a loan car at their expense.

After going back and forth so many times this one worked the best for me!

Go to the top then work your way down!

Just following up on my fg .Most of the problems have been fixed only the front and rear bars to be painted.I would love to shame the dealer ,but I wont .I know the owner personally. The problem was with the dealer not following workshop procedures to properly diagnose the problems. The boys from brad garlick at ryde sorted it all out for me.My problems weren't difficult to rectify if they had followed the manual.Cheers Nick

Ive only ever had new car warranty for a week, then modded the car. Had no 2nd thoughts in doing this as all I seem to hear is new car warranties arent worth pissing on...

The fact alone that they charge $375 for a oil change and "Tighten turbo bolts" means they should fix ANY problems properly and stop giving people the run around. FRAUD.

But on the up side you make me feel a bit better as our 2nd car is a astra and is a right royal lemon...

Yes, but also do own maintenance so no warranty for me, but then again not getting ripped every time it needs oil. Besides 15,000km for a oil change is way to long IMO.

Thought I give you all a bit of an up date, told my dealer(Dale Ford) to stick it up his arse and you wouldn't know how to find a root in a brothel. So made a few calls and ended up taking my car to peter warren smithfield, dropped it off yesterday so far so good, asked for a phone call today and got it,step in the right direction. It's there because of timing cover/sump leak ,diff leak, broken glovebox,1500km service and some bush in the centre of the diff. They have probably the best set up I have seen in a dealership, the guy was more than helpful ,the moment I arrived my car was up on the hoist and he was checking it,he was the one that actually found the diff bush.Funny that been telling dale ford the rear end or diff dosn't feel right, one of the guys from dale ford took it for a drive and said that's not to bad seen worse there all like that. The bush is rooted bits of rubber hanging all over the place.

My relationship with dale ford is over they were trying to charge me $44.00 a day for a loan car and $2000.00 excess if something went wrong.I said that's not a bad business $44.00 a day and $2000.00 excess you got to be joking,so at the worst case scenario you blokes are fixing your f*ck ups and it could cost me $2500.00 f*ck that.I can put a covernote on the loan car with my insurance policy, don't know if you can do that mate, well the point is mate if I give you a covernote your car is covered and really that's all that matters mate.He walks away to speak to his manger and comes back and tell's me as long as we have the paper work by friday(about 4 days before the car is needed). So I take some of the loan car details and drive back to work thinking I've taken all the loan car details. The following day I ring the dealer telling him I need some more details.Dealer I will ring you back never got the phone call.Rang the owner gave him the top line .

I have a really good feel about my car finally losing its lemon tag and becoming an orange.Cheers Nick
