Bought my car in june was back for repairs within 24 hours. Its almost been 6 months and I am still taking it back for the original problem with many more since. My air con has never worked properly,it struggles on hot days.So I thought on a hot day I would take it to the dealer and show him.We sat in the workshop for about 20 minutes with a temp gauge in the air vent, the lowest it reached was 14 degrees. The dealer said there was a problem with it as it should of been between 4 and 6 degrees. So I booked the car in,its a cold day the only thing they did was put the gauge back in the vent. It read 4 degrees they didn't test anything else,he rings me to tell me its fixed.Went to pick my car up, I lost it with them could of killed them all ,the cars been back four times for the air con now .You could of at least checked presure and gas levels. Here is the short list of problems with my car.Noise in gear box (manual) Radio resets itself.Air con rooted.rattle in back of car somewhere.Paint peeling off front and rear bar.Idle drops to 250 rpm when braking some times.Clock resets itself. The electric boot release rooted. Glove box broken. side Skirts Loose.Replaced the acclerator pedal assembly.Had new software installed in the computer. When starting the car the air con fan control is on max and within 2 seconds it returns to the preset level.Anyway taking my orange lemon to an other ford dealer tomorrow will let you know how it all pans out.If ford australia and Expensive Daewoo join forces they can name the company folden. If anyone has had any of these problems let me hear about it please.Cheers Nick

Sounds mainly electrical apart from your noisy gearbox. Engine ok? Ive done the 15 odd trips to Ford to get nothing done and the royal run around. Was there last week and back this week for the same fun and games.

an electrical problem sounds like the cause of most of your problems ive had almost the same issues with a bf , sounds silly but check your battery , and then from there start checking main fuses and earth points could even be your bcm module ? if will do strange things if not working properly or has a lose cable ?

its sucks because the problem is simple but ford techs are f*cking retards and will take years of ass f*cking to fix the problem either fix it yourself or sell the car is my advice or get ready for a crap load of ford bullsh*t

and if you dont already have one buy a punching bag and stick a picture of your sevice manger on it

Also being electrical Ford really wont have any idea. Take the advice above, except take it to a good auto electrician and pay him to fix it. Something you shouldnt have to do but otherwise you will just get the Ford run around like the rest of us.

Starting to sound like the FG's are plagued with the same problems that BA and BF's have.

I had similar/same electrical problems with my FG when I was fitting my UHF radio. I removed the interior light for a couple of days whilst fitting the radio. I had this big list of electrical issues for the dealer but as soon as I refitted the interior light every thing worked correctly again.

My boot release keeps on activating when you push the button to open it but I'm sore this is just an adjustment issue.

What makes is all worse is that the dealers are useless. It's not the car's fault that the dealer servicing is utterly incompetent.

Ford really need to get their act together, but they won't.

With the boot release does it keep making the unlocking sound over and over really fast? Mines doing this at the moment and its farking annoying.
