Red LED light strips under bonnet (does nothing really - was bored one day!):

Trying to decide whether reminds me more of KIT (knight rider) or a strip club.... What about the boot lights?

I have never had the TC shut off by itself and I have driven in some extreme conditions in the last month alone (flash floods in Broken Hill etc..).

The only thing that did shut down by itself was my ICC unit which was replaced a couple of weeks ago.

As for the diff, if you thrash it, the diff will stop operating correctly or as it should over time. Eventually only one wheel will spin which will mean a diff rebuild or replacement.

As for smoking it up from a standing start with my top tune, yes I can with the TC off or on, more so with it off. I am not in the practice of doing this as 19 Inch tyres cost a bit too much to replace and if you get caught, you may have the first G6E Turbo that gets impounded under the hoon laws by the police (here in SA anyway!).

Sorry - maybe I should clarify... what I meant was that with your +300 tune, does your car break out into wheelspin with ONE wheel only when hammered from a standing start? (as the TC cannot brake the spinning wheel sufficently in order to transfer power to the non-spinning wheel)

I too am not in the habit of smoking up 19 inch tyres! I'm just wanting some first hand info from somone like yourself who actually has their hands on one!

Interior mods looks great.

I have a few further questions for you:

1. With the ASL mods can you only play video footage through you ipod or does it convert the stock cd player into a dvd player?

2. Do you have any dyno results showing the extra kw the growler intake has given you? As previous growler intakes on BA and commodores have been more visually pleasing than performing

3. Do the fog light covers just clip off? I was thinking of painting mine black to suit my black rims

Both wheels spin with TC on and off with the top tune. With the TC off it will leave two definate black marks, but of course this only happens when the turbo kicks in, but the twin black marks are not as definate with the TC turned on.

1. The ASL mod allows you to add a video device only (seperate DVD player/Ipod/Divx HDD etc.) - the internal CD player is not modified in any way (and cannot be).

2. I have had 3 dynos done since the growler was added - all showing different results from 302 to 312rwkw on different dynos. I am going to get the tune re-done shortly and have it done again shortly - will post the results here.

3. Fog light surrounds are held on with 4 clips and one screw, which is really hard to get to.

Here is a pic of the boot white LED install - gives much more light and is hidden as well as the strips are only about 2mm thick, 30cm long (one each side) and flexible.

I wonder if you could post the brand/part numbers for the LED's you fitted to the interior lights of your G6ET, man they look fantastic and would like to do mine as well.

2. Do you get a loud suction noise noise now with the growler?

3. Have details of best way to get the fog light surrounds off?

1. Got rear DVD headrests from China - approx AUS$500 delivered and installed them myself. I also installed a power on/off switch on the steering column to turn them on/off.

2. There is hardly any suction noise but the BOV is a lot louder and so is the exhaust with a deeper sound.

3. Have only looked at them so far - when I get back from my country trip next week I will take some photos on how to replace them and post here as I will install my piano black painted ones.

If your talking about interior bulbs they're mine.... all from ebay, search;

roof bulbs - T10 W5W Wide Angle 4 LED (Xenon White) Wedge Bulb

The floor - T10 HP AMBER Supernova Brightest Wedge LED Bulb

Boot, door and rear floor - mixed size LED (Xenon White) Festoon Bulb - 36mm door & 38mm boot (I think)

If you mean the strip LEDs in jlgw70 has in engine bay and boot you'll have to get an answer outta him...

You should get suction noise from the pod. Not sure exhaust should sound any louder wit the intake?
