yeh, I would go get exhuast and extractors aswell.. dont see how the cops would get u for that.. unless u had no mufflers and was hell loud.. then get a flash tuner.. then go to a tuner and get them to custom tune.. another option would perhaps change your diff ratios.. 4.11 would make it quite a weapon at the lights...

yeh im just not technically meant to touch anything engine or performance wise thanks to the new p laws. the filter and intake is great cos noone can tell.

ive heard the 4.11 ratio is a killer for petrol though. im on holidays atm so making half decent cash but as soon as theyre over petrol will be chewing most of my cash up. which is why im focusing more on bang for your buck and efficiency mods. just bought a second hand typhoon exhaust off ebay. I know its no monster great exhaust but it was quite cheap and its an upgrade from the cruddy stock one on the NA. no clue what sort of power figures itll reach but if the 200 ballpark is reachable I might consider the tuning just for the sake of it haha.

only thing id like to know is if the tuning just programs the ECU to pump in more petrol for more power or is it like the filter and such where it increases power but also efficiency and marginally helps economy? I know I shouldnt have gotten an xr6 if im worried about petrol costs but its one of the many cars, and probably the least thirsty, on the list of cars to own...what can you do? plus making it meaner but also leaner is a double bonus.
