Hi guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any idea why mt 03 T keeps blowing plugs??

only happens when I give it a hard time. Then I replace plugs then its fine till I give it a boot full a few times then it just starts missing again.

ANY IDEAS WHY GUYS???

Cheers

Try closing the plug gaps up, I had mine at .80 and it was still missing so went to .75 and it fixed it! idle quality can suffer though but I haven't had a problem with it.

Its stock tune exhaust (centre muffler removal) and airfilter being the only mods. 160 000kms on the clock. running with .8 gapped plugs but was doing it with stock plugs aswell.

any ideas???

Have you checked the coil packs as I had one in my supercharged xr8 play up because somehow the hole was half full of water! (someone pressure cleaning got carried away I presume).

I pulled them all out and pulled the springs off and gave them a good clean especially the one in the water as it was starting to corrode, sprayed some silicon spray on them to lube and all was fine again, lucky as I thought with it arching in the water it might have killed the coil pack but obviously not.

If you have a mate with the same car borrow his coil packs and try them so at least you can rule them out.

I dont know of anyone that can test them so check with a tuner in your area as they may know.
