It was that American w@nker Bill Osborne that decided to drop the superb I6 engine.

No wonder he got sacked 6 months into the job. Tom Gorman also seemed to sit on his laurels...

Excellent decision by the new Aussie president Marin Burela. I hope he will follow the

legacy of Geoff Polites (RIP), and re-envigorate Ford Oz (Particlarly Falcon, Territory & Focus).

It's my understanding that the current engine fails Euro 4 tests because the cast iron block takes to long to heat up.

Apparently it has no issues meeting the requirements once at operating temp. It just takes to long to get there.

Where do I start with this. Everything you said is wrong.

Tom Gorman made the decision to drop the I6 a year before Bill Osbourne arrived, and it was Bill Osbourne who resigned to take up a CEO job for a security firm in the US after 6 months in the job. He wasn't fired.

Credit must go to Marin Burela, he worked hard to make this happen, this is what happens with you have an aussie in charge, not some jerk off Yank who couldn't give 2 f*cks about the place and see it as nothing but a step up the corporate ladder. Well done Marin.

I'd say the dollar injection from the federal government would have a lot to do with it also.
