Im currently building my Typhoon for a minimum 500rwkw, I would like to know peoples thoughts on what clutch I should use, whether it be a Mal Wood option 6, Textralia or upgrade my standard AP racing twin plate.

Any info is welcome

Textralia carbon tripple would be my pick, but geez, clutches can be good or bad with different drivers.

I'd hold on to your AP, and upgrade the plates and see how it holds on... whats BCL using these days?

How much is it to upgrade the plates in the AP and who sell the carbon plates?

adelaide clutch services would be able to do it.

a mix of carbon/kevlar would be the choice but for ultimate bite and one hardcore *beep* of a clutch Ceramic would be the pick.

Are you going to drag race the clutch, or only for street use?

For street use only you can get by with the AP plates and twin ceramic plates.

If any drag use you need something like what Mal is offering.

My AP with the twin ceramics doesn't like hard drag launch.

I have a spare triple plate OzGiken, not good (friendly) for street use unless you can tolerate shudder, but would probably be better suited for strip.

The car will mainly be used for dyno days but I will be taking it to the strip to see what it can do. I dont want something that may not last so I'd rather go over kill than have issues down the line. How good are the Ozgiken clutches?
