I want to get some noise from my XR6 Turbo BF II. I tried what everyone advised and removed Centre Muffler and put in twin Hotdogs but I wanna go for somethign more. I spoke to X-Force and they tell me a 3Inch single system from Turbo back will do what I want but I dont need a tune. Yet I read on here when some people change Exhaust there engine light goes on.

Is the Xforce 3Inch worth going for. What issues will I have. I'm not into Performance as I have a Speedcar for that I race at Kwinana Motorplex.

I would think it would still require a retune of some sort but I could be wrong & someone should be along shortly to confirm or say otherwise.

Goran on here (DRTYBOOST av name) is using a 3" xforce system and is pushing out over 340rwkw on his ute and it sounds pretty sweet.

Saying that, a lot of people on here are going to tell you to get either the full 3.5" or Twin 2.5" with a 4" dump or 3.5" with sep wastgate outlet if your going to upgrade. If your gonna be paying for the 3 inch with no real gains in terms of flow (flows pretty much the same as the stock system), you may aswell pay a couple hundred extra for a better exhaust that will have all the room for movement you will ever need when you decide to mod for a little more power... I did say when and not if!

Fair enough you have a fast drag car already, but for pretty cheap $$ you can get a fair bit out of these 6T's and once you have a good free flowing exhaust, just makes it easier...

GL anyways - let us know what you decide on!

Thanks Mate, Peter from Carline Perth is fitting it tomorrow. So kinda worried and not sure what to Expect. I am told the STD Dump is 3inch so why would he change that and the cat.

I really not goign to Mod my car to much as I have extended Warranty but from wehat I been reading on here its not worth the paper written on. touch wood my baby has not given me one ounce of trouble from Day one.

I don't race Drags I race Speedway on the other side, sometimes we have Practise with the Drags on Wed Night. I run a Speedcar (Midget).

Have a look at this: Click Here

What have you ordered from Carline and at what cost?

I personally wouldnt change my exhaust if your planning on staying with the stock power. Its a little pointless IMO. If your only doing it for noise, id probably get the Hotdogs taken out and replaced with straight through pipes and chop out the rear muffler for straight pipes too...

Depending on what your having replaced tomorrow (ie. if only a catback system you should be fine), you might wanna make sure you have the money or be prepared to look at a tune (flash box and tune $1200 - $1500 here in WA) just incase it does change the flow of your exhaust and the car goes into limp mode etc... Again, if its just a catback its pretty unlikely but if you are replacing the Dump & Cat, even with a 3" system, it might overboost.
