My old man wants a new Turbo Gia Territory, but doesn't want to get it only to find there's a new one next month.I find it hard to understand why, with Ford struggling, they would go to the added expense of now having to manufacture seven different variations of the 4.0l motor instead of 4, especially when they're going to stop making them in a couple of years. They should at least put the new motors in. devo Member 64 Member For: 16y 9m 22d Posted 22/11/08 08:17 AM Share Posted 22/11/08 08:17 AM yeah there is an update coming, I remember it being 3rd qtr 09 when I heard about it when working at ford... also when doing the Ford Star training programs one of the courses I did was on small awd/4wd and the guy (its a live video stream from geelong) mentioned the territory update with the "exciting possibility" of diesel options. Which if they go ahead with a diesel plan in territory, falcon will get diesel too. That was not part of the 09 update though, I assume that will be fg style front end, dash and maybe taillights to go with the wagon when its released... Surely it would be cheaper to put the current FG motors into the Territories, rather than continue to produce two old versions as well. Not to mentiont the fact that it'll turn people off buying, especially when Ford admits this is a stop-gap until an all new Territory next year! What hope have they got when they turn a sales champion into a failure. The Territory has dropped from the No1 soft roader spot to 4, below the Daewoo Craptiva!
