I was sitting in my house being bored so I decided to go for a drive past my dealership and guess what. It was the Canberra leg of the FORD 100 year anniversery. Luckily I had my digital camera in my car (was too lazy to take it out of the glovebox for about a 2 months) so I took some photos.

This photo is of the 31st ford ever made, the Model A and tomorrow (4th August 2003) will be it's 100th birthday:

A picture of a very sexy coupe. Unfortunatly it would be almost impossible for me to fit in the thing:

This is a picture of a Mustang with some history. Basically it was in the first batch ever made. The cars in this batch were sent to larger dealers in the US for pre production evaluation:

A pic of 2 capri's. One very very old, the other only old:

I was wondering what was going on there when I drove past earlier - the yard was empty except for Trevor's Orange GT-P.

Yer.. It's sort of like that for me. I got there about 10 minutes before the end and only had time to take these photos. During the picture taking my digital camera batteries died on me and I paniced. But luckily there was a grocery store just across the road.

Where did you hear about it? First I heard was when I logged on here.

Was a fluke. I usually drive through Braddon (avoid quite a few traffic lights this way) on my way to the Canberra Centre and luckily I bumped into the display of all the old cars at gregory's.

WTF?!?

Man I'm pi$$ed...

I just bought a car fromn these guys in April...

You would think the least they could have done was inform their recent customers that the 100 years of Ford Caravan was in town...

Bummer.... :(

I think it was something organised by trevor himself, there was no official "ford caravan" thing there.

still doesnt excuse not advertising it sufficiently though....

the only way I found out was a mate of mine was asked by trevor himself to enter his two gt cortina's. if he wasnt asked, I wouldnt have known about it either!

Yeah, it seems that the only people that were the ones who brought along their cars. The others were like me who just happened to bump into it. I saw/heard atleast a dozen people saying on there mobiles "Hey mate they have all sorts of fords here". Oh well, atleast I found parking about 10 metres away ;)

Almost forgot to mention. The speaker (I think it was this Trevor bloke) said that they will have another display like this next year. I hope it'll be around summernats 17 time :)
