Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 14/11/08 06:57 PM Share Posted 14/11/08 06:57 PM Okay, a mate has 19`s on his XR, I wanna go to Willowbank tonight weather permitting, he has graciously said I can use his stock 17`s on the back of my Phoon to preserve my dunlops. Can I, use the Phoon lub nuts ( Dark argents, if there`s any diff ) to secure the XR6 wheels?I`m working this morning, plus I`ve got to go to Redcliffe and back this arv so time is at a premium.I`If I`ve gotta buy wheel nuts I`d kindly like to know, don`t want it to end in tears when we try to fit the XR wheels.I will go out with my own tyres I suppose, but the XR wheels and tyres would be more fun :D

Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 15/11/08 04:01 AM Share Posted 15/11/08 04:01 AM I knew they`d fit the thread, Ford is same XK - now.. I think, Nah I was just concerned the shape of the nut might be diff, it`s all good.. They are gonna burn... Hope I can get some kinda traction out of them, they are the Dunlops XR`s come with, not just quite with the wear limit showing..

Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 16/11/08 10:23 AM Share Posted 16/11/08 10:23 AM Well, XR6 17`s with the OEM dunlops went on the back BF F6 and I might add, gripped okay on the strip. I dropped them back to about 27 psi, low a bloody nuff for me.But jeeez, will these cars spin donuts like a friggin` go kart or what..

Guest Spinifex Guests Posted 17/11/08 05:27 AM Share Posted 17/11/08 05:27 AM Matt, I had 2 runs, first was an epic fail on nearly all counts and netted a 14.4 @ 105, second was just trying to get it down the track and equated to a 13.993 @ 105.I bogged off the line a bit second time round, and it shifted into 4th real early in the top end.I was going to leave it go till I got the mods I want and had some cooler weather, but weather permitting I might try again next saturday. Now I have my eye in again ( it`d been some time since I did a pass.. ) I reckon I could go 13.6 or 7..
