XR666Turbz Member 18 Member For: 16y 3m 25d Gender: Male Location: Adelaide Posted 14/11/08 01:26 PM Share Posted 14/11/08 01:26 PM hey ppls, last few nights I been noticing when I take off from lights when there is a car behind me I can see smoke coming from the zaust, im guessing its from running lean. im not sure why its running lean all it has is a flash tuner which I have set back to the factory setting so im now stuck for ideas, maybe there is a leak in one of the pipes? duno if that would cause this, its not running rich because the smoke comes way beofre im on boost, from what I can see its a cleary smoke which is troubling me because that's the warning signs of 'detonation" but my cars still under warentee but I thought id get some suggestions all the same, maybe someones has a similar problem, cheers. Running rich ,on the other hand, will give you lots of black smoke.Cleary smoke?? Define 'cleary'. Black, white, blue?It doesn't have to be on boost to be running rich either.My suggestion is it possibly may be valve stem seals, but if it's still under warranty take it to a dealer and get them to sort it out.Bit of a no brainer if you ask me.By the way, who told you that cleary smoke is the warning sign of detonation???????????
