Not to sure if anyone else saw this, or heard anything about this?

And I know - never believe everything you hear....

Did I understand correctly - there is a possible review of the demerit points list for speeding in NSW?

I didnt catch all of it, just bits and pieces...

:roflmbo:

Was that all?

From the little bit I heard I thought it was going to be a review of the points system for lower rated offenses? Therefore lowering the points?

Think they said that for minor speeding infringements, the points loss would reduce, but the fine remain?

Happy with that, when it comes down to loosing a bit of money in a fine is no where near as bad as loosing your license.

It is confrimed that there will be a 1 point reduction in speeding less than 15 as it is stupidly the same as speeding over 15, kindly introduced 3 years ago. Please remember that this is all carried out by the stupid RTA.

Furthermore there is a proposal that demerit points apply to Learner drivers and its about time. Previously no points were applied at all for even the most serious matters which to date remains mind boggling. The RTA after 50 tickets in a month would decide to review there driving suitability instead.

In all of this is a slight grab for cash, where "No standing" will now be the same as "No stopping", a jump from $82 to $185.

All applying to NSW only as we have become the bankrupt State.
