Hey all

This only happened recently (less than a week), when I had the 6 spd auto in manual mode and shifted into second while on boost. Normally it would chirp/spin into second, but this time it clunked from the rear (and I felt it through the car a bit) as it chirped. I tried it again later on that night and it didn't do it again.

However today I tried it again and it did the same thing. It feels like the rear of the car, like the diff almost. What do you suggest it could be? Is there anything I can check?

The car is considerably low so could CV's behave like this when they are on the way out, or could it be something else? Diff oil was changed less than 2000kms ago.

Cheers

Diff bush, you need the car up on a hoist or stands to check it though mate. I had mine up in the workshop the other day and my entire rear end is flogged out. Rear and side diff bushes, axle seals, swaybar linkages etc etc...

hmm so the bushes where the diff mounts to the chasis you think? Its pretty easy to tell if they are flogged out yeah? I'm assuming it will have some play in it when you wiggle it by hand or something?

yeah you will be able to see the main rear diff bush and see if that's flogged out however the side ones are harder to see. If you wiggle the diff you might be able to tell.
