Well after the stall convetor letting go and taking most of the box with it iv got it back on the road again. Just though id put some graphs up and see what people say. Gone from a lock- up 2800rpm stall to a non-lock up 3500rpm stall. Box is built by Dominello Race Transmissions and got the tune done by Autotech. Big thanx to both companies and all their help!!!

High Stalls will suck the power out of the car. Master G's car made similar power when it ran 10 second pass, also with a 3500 stall converter from dominello. Your 60ft will be a hell of a lot quicker but your MPH will be down to the mid 120s.

Have fun with it!

Yeh I wouldnt bother if u got normal road tyres.....et street radials will be ok but you would benefit better with full slicks, let us know how u go, its a sure 10 sec pass if can hook up.

I just got my box rebuilt also from Dominello Race Transmissions with 3000 stall and new tune but I think my tune is frigged up, car keeps turning it self off while im driving it, once that happens I lose reverse and netural also becomes drive too... so I keep having to reflash it to fix it. whats yous think?

Take it back to whoever tuned it...and get them to look at the tune there must be a value that needs to be raised so you vehicle doesnt go into limp mode due to the convertor.

I would keep the 2800 stall, perfect for these cars, best time I ran with the 4speed was a 11.2@126.9 1.89 60ft,then we put a 2spd powerglide in it,thought id go with a higher stall in it! went with a 3800,ended up going backwards ran a 11.7 @121mph 1.87 60ft,also power went from 380rwkw to 310rwkw wasnt happy at all!so we put another 2800 back in it,power went back up to 375rwkw and ran a 10.85@126mph 1.63 60ft!all this was done in similar weather(ie temp)conditions, big stalls do rob power!and top end speed.but since you didnt run it at the track 1st you might not notice it,hope this helps

cheers lee
