In QLD our HWY patrol cars are F6,TRD aurion and monaro all of witch have in car radars

witch are hooked up to the car ecu ( to determin the speed of your car by seeing how fast there going

and making the difference) I have been told by the police I got done by an unmaked ve omega

27km over and lst lic I was on my P's in then got cort 3 other times that week for recklass driving

running red light and speeding again 11km over 12 points in total I only had 4 but in QLD if u loose all your points you have the choice of 3 months suspension or 12months good behaviour lic in witch if u loose 2 or more points in them 12 months you loose your lic for 6 months and u cannot drive between 11pm and 5am I took that just got my unrestricted lic back last week

as far as im aware in QLD u can aslo see a tape of u speeding and if they dont show u you can get out of it

and as for delaying paying the fine till after you get points back dosnt work same as the old u get a $150 fine send them a check for $155 then they send a cheque bck for $5 and then they carnt process ticket untill you cash your $5 dollar check they now just back date it to the day

but yeah unfortunate that you got done

Firstly the new phoons in Sydney do have a little radar on the side which sticks out... I would say you got done by that!

They are in the process of 'trial' for these so there 'could' be a variable in the speed...

Having said that however what is more worrying is that YOU DO HAVE THE RIGHT TO VIEW THE DETECTION SPEED!

Might be worth writing a little letter or making a call just in case... Did the cop advise the convo was being recorded?

Do you believe you were doing that speed or maybe less?

oh ok, man.. there is nothing stikin out the side of this one im lookin at it now hahaha n I wuda noticed it, but fair enough if it was on the inside. yeah he told me it was bein recorded but I could hardly hear a I <3 Bananas thing he said, motorways a bad place to get done haha I honestly believe I wasnt goin that fast, one would no haha I dont have a problem with it fair enough il cop it, was just curious to how he came to that conclusion. is his name or atleast station spose to be on the ticket? im not to sure

Im more than sure that a radar cant be operated whilst moving, because the angle of the camera to within a few degrees can give a false reading. that's y so many fixed speed camera fines are being challenged and won, let alone in a car that's moving. I woulda called bullsh*t on this one

You might be able to dispute the ticket just on that basis. Not filled out correctly. I’m sure some savvy lawyer can find some loophole to get you out of it

not true if somthings wrong on the ticket they just right you a new one well in QLD neways

I had one with my numberplate wrong went to dispute it and they just wrote me a new one with correct plate number

Supposedly none of the tricks to get out of traffic tickets works anymore any were in australia if u want to dispute it just have to take it to court witch ull more than likley loose even if u wernt speeding
