never thought I'd see the day it would drop below $1dpl.. so wheres all this "Where running out of fuel business gone?" wasn't that part of the reason the fuel prices where jumping so high in the first place?

It's part of it. A lot of investors bought up oil stocks as a result.

When the sh*t hit the fan they all started seling off their oil, creating a glut and greatly reducing the price.

Also, people are turning more and more to diesel and more fuel efficient cars, so fuel volumes are down.

I've noticed servos that used to sell 98 for 10c or 12c more are now selling it for 12c and 14c more. One servo I used to get 98 from on the weekends sold 98 for 11c more but when I rocked up last week it was 18c more. I've been using United 100 octane for 10c more. Filled up for 128.9c without discount.

On a side note, I've been having some issues with breaking down and the such lately. Did plugs, not change. Did ford genuine coils, and the car is ridiculous once again. The difference is huuuuge. Sit on 70, dump it and by 80 or so its turning the wheels and sideways. Hasn't done that for a while...
