Filled up last night for $1.27 for Caltex Premium 98, thought that was pretty awesome. Oh yeh that was with a shopper docket.

Since its finally getting cheaper does that mean the value of our cars will rise again?

I filled up at the united at Blacktown on Sunday night with 100ron and it was still 149.9c/l when regular unleaded was 122.9. Couldnt believe the price difference. The same servo now at 113.9 for regular.

Got Mobil 8000 (98) for $1.29 p/l the other day.

I'll still end up spending $115 on fuel this week but I spose it's better than the usual $130...

Shell - Baulkham Hills at 11.30 today - $1.39 (I think from memory) for V Power (98)....

Reg ULP - $114.9 still big difference and no real reason for it!

Mobil on Old Northern Rd had no price out the front - ie out of fuel... I dont think so... just dont want to sell it cheap!

:banghead:

Crows Nest Caltex @ 12.30 was $112.9 I think I saw...

Shell Nt Ryde was - $112.9 also @ 2pm

Still $1.41 for 91 in darwin, ripped off as always.

I dont see it going too much lower, OPEC has cut supplies to keep the price up so it will stabilise fairly soon.

Easy, the futures market, basically a whole heap of people purchased "paper fuel" in other words contract for future oil sales. They are watching their investment drop in price so the market is now flooded with the futures as well as real oil. Considering they both have the same price tag attached this is the reason we are seeing oil drop in price and short of cutting supply completely (which would be illegal because the futures are infact contracts which need to be forefilled at a later date) there is nothing OPEC can do.

My personal belief is it's this so called futures market which has caused fuel to skyrocket. It's nothing more than monoploy money (it's basically selling a product which doesn't even exist yet, just the promise that it one day will).

It'll be interesting to see what happens as the aussie $ is going back up (slowly, which is good as I want to go OS next year on a somewhat serious holiday) with oil falling, we may yet see under $1/litre yet. (for real, not publicity stunt)

Never buy fuel there. most expensive juice in Sydney IMO. If you must have Shell, take a drive to Norwest business park
