Not sure of the brand name, I'll check with the shop that did the job for me and let you know...but they are the closest to the Ford tips that you can get, I believe.

Nice result with standard cooler & such low boost guys :beerchug:

How much was the CES system?

EDIT: Those tips aren't even close to the Ford ones  Look good though!

Yeah we are getting there, but still a way to go yet.

We start fitting up the Stage 3 Kit this Friday (intercooler/plenum/cold air intake/battery re-locate/fuel surge system), so should see more gains by next week...and more boost!

Hard to comment on the exhaust, as we have done a fair bit of testing, on 2 different systems. 1 stock performance upgrade system, and the other was custom made from diff back, but split into a quad system of sorts. We are going to dore more dyno work on the 2 different systems later this week, and then make a decission on which way to go forward.

I'm pretty happy with what we have done so far, it's quite a different car to drive...going from 5lb to 12 lb boost, and some real good tuning...

I'm getting real anxious now on where we are going to end up after this weekend

Just an update to let everyone know where we are at.

We now have the Stage 3 PW kit installed, quite a bit of work involved, but very satisfying now complete. We still have to modify the turbo, and install a bigger actuator in the wastegate, as we can't control the boost properly...should be done this week hopefully. Cold air is done, as well as the battery re-locate. Still have to put in the fuel surge system, but after we sort out our boosting issue.

We still can't accurately say what power figure we are at for now.

More upgrades coming real soon, will let everyone know as it's happening.

Check out the difference in size of the stock and aftermarket intercoolers.

Looks the goods mate - once you get all the bits and pieces fitted you will be heading towards the high 300's. After that you might aswell get a bigger turbo cos the stocker will run out of puff!

Keep the updates coming!

Hi all, It's been a while since that last update. With Xmas and New year and the workshop having time off we're back on track with the project car. As we all know with any project there are always hurdles to overcome, and we are again at that stage. Tunings been going great, we are now at 340 RWKW still at lowish boost, but we now have clutch slip issues! No biggie really as we I stepping up to a 6 speed manual T56 road /race box from our mate Mal, and twin plate clutch is going in at the same time.

There are a few other goodies happening real soon too. Full Tein coilover setup going in with EDFC computer, HD antiroll bars etc...and some real good testing going on at at QR...Fun times, and empty pockets ahead...Full brake upgrade coming in march!

It's only money...

some members on here have some pretty well kitted out cars, maybe a track day to see how the big boys do it. Obvious the outcome ,but the margins would be an interesting read

Ok guys, time to update the project information...

I have been at Mal Woods for the past 2 days, getting some pretty major surgery carried out on my T.

We have ripped out the T5, and replaced it with one of Mals T56's 6 speeds, but upspec'd it a fair bit, with bigger input and output splines and altered 1st gear a little from standard, and a few other trick bits Mal suggested we do. We have also installed the new Option 3 Plus clutch with organic plate, alloy flywheel etc. We have also rebuilt the diff and changed ratios to 4.1's, and put in one of the Torque Tuff LSD's at the same time...while this is going on in one part of the workshop, Mal knocked up my new tailshaft for me, knowing that this T is going to have at the end over 500 RWHP, standard one aint good enough, so Mal custom fabricated one with new yolk and heavy duty cv etc, and made it out of Chrome Moly tube...tough as! The other thing he custom fabricated from an FG gearstick was a very short throw arm to go into the short throw shifter on the new T56 box, and man it's short throw, and quick changes!!!

I drove it back from the workshop at Warwick late this arvo, and it feels great, I can't wait for everything to bed in and get some K's up on her, so I can start giving her a bit of curry! By the time I got home (200K trip) she was loosening up a bit more, so look out...

It was so worth the trip to get this work done, great work, great bunch of guys to hang out with for 2 days and watch the whole process happen.

Thanks again Mal
