spray "belt grip" on tyres?

:verysad: stop it T.V, although the sandbags might be an option. I am sure that a better wider tyre will help though

M/Ts are awesome on the road, but unfortunately they aren't completely legal and don't last very long...

:secret: They do leave big fat black lines though.... :verysad:

Guys,

You can get Michelin Pilot Cups in 265/30/19 for $800 a corner, but as will any semi-slick, these will be greasy until you get heat into them....

Might be worth looking at the Continential Contact 2/3 or Michelin PS2's.... I've run Pirelli P zero Rosso, Yokohama Advan V103, Dunlop Sport 9000..... and I think the conti's or the michelin's are the better ones... Michelin's will get you on price though, so maybe look at the conti's... They will be around the $600 a tyre mark though for the sizes your looking at. Keep in mind, the size you guys are looking at is what the E46 M3's ran.... and most of those were delivered with Conti's from what I've seen or Cups on the CSL....

I am having the same issues with my BFII ute, pretty bad wheelspin in first and second. Of course 900NM of torque running through a live axle has that effect. :verysad: FWIW I am currently running yokie Advan V103s all round.

I have been told the only way to stop/lessen is to go wider rims to take a 265 or 275 tyre, which I will do if I can find a rim I like.

One tyre recommended to me by a pretty reputable guy was a Maxxis MA-Z1. Apparently they grip as well as any and are cheaper than the better known brands ( although still not really that cheap in that size), so worth a shot IMO.

I've got about 5 or 6 people buying Toyo PROXES 4's and no one has had a problem. One guy runs almost 400 at the wheels in a jap car and he raves about them. If you find a tyre place that buys lots of Toyo tyres you can get em as cheap as $320 - $330 a tyre fitted :crybaby:

Do these come in 17" as well?

Thanks for the input guys, will try to get decent 265's as the gental approch on the throttle (1/2) still doesnt cut it.

Will let you know how it goes.

Second the Proxes4, got mine for $340ea from a small local retailer, I'd guess 320 or even less would be a cinch with someone who was moving more.

Better then the stock Dunflops in the dry, better again in the wet.

They seem to wear pretty well too, done 23,000kms on them and the fronts are around 40%.

Dunlops were on markers at 25,000.

AAA+ tyre, would smoke up again :innocent:
