nup xr8's had no bonnet mat, and I would assume the rubber is the same as the stock xr6 bonnet... clips will be cheap as anyway if you need them

I fitted the sound deadner mat off my XR6 bonnet onto my XR8 bonnet, the holes are all in the same place. Theres about 3-4 that dont get clipped cause its where the hump is.

I have a fibreglass copy, no issues with fitting or prep work at all.

(DO CHOOSE YOUR COURIER CAREFULLY THOUGH!)

however I do need to fit my gas struts.

it cost me $500 to paint.

I was thinking of using the sound deadner mat off my old bonnet, but now the HKS is twice as loud, I think it'll stay off

I first went carbon fiber bonnet and the fit was fine, I only changed to a steel one as I got it for $700 and free painting. I was told the glass ones or at least the grafted ones crack around were they join the steel from the heat of the turbos. I am yet to see an actual part of transport regulation that states these are illegal, not saying that they arn't just that I cant find it in QLD transports web sight.
