It's a long way from Sydney to Melbourne. Like I said before ... Manuals are for boys and Autos are for girls. hehehe

Straight line stuff really is a joke. Reaction time ... Fuel load .. Wheel spin etc etc etc. Now when someone wants to set up a race day .... then we can argue !!

I achieved a time of 3hours and 15minutes, I think it would have been line ball with the manual too. that's how long it took me to get to Calder Park, pay to race, then be told that track was unsafe and meet was cancelled, then drive home. It was my first time at the drags and was a great experience, would have been even better if I had managed to have a run. :D

Regarding the Auto/manual thing. I've had both and enjoyed driving both. The only reson I bought the auto was that in all the research I did on the car before I ordered it the only fault that anyone had with it was the manual box, while praising the auto.

I do believe that the auto would be quicker but there would be sweet f**k all in it, and like someone wise said :idea: "it doesn't really matter anyway".

The bottom line is anyone who owns a XR6 Turbo has a great car and can look forward to many enjoyable hours behind the wheel.

My parents XR8 MANual let me high light thet MAN in manual for you would be there in a flash if we didn't live around 2 1/2 hours away and I didn't have to be at work the next day at 8.00 any only jokeing about the manual V auto thing just blow off some of those oil burning GEN 3's for me and do us all proud

Hey, I just got home after making the hour long trek out to Calda only to find a big accident out the front and was told the meet was cancelled go home! Bugger. I rekon 0-100 a manual would get the auto but the change into third is always a gamble in the XRT and this would hand the 1/4mile to the auto. My thoughts anyways, but who knows for sure??

How come most drag cars run autos?

Cause they're quicker on the dragstrip.

how come brake shudder happens to Autos mostly?

Cause they're harder on the brakes
