Yeh lowfutura your car looked nice on sunday mate, but why put an f6 intercooler on it? mine sux its only 45mm thick and couldnt cool squat, I could have waited for aftermarket stuff to come out but I want something personal so I am getting a custom made one. moral of the story... you are f#cking the cat, they are just holding its tail for you, so just as long as you like the cat its all good!

Do you XR up as much as you want... just remember its an XR but, and not a FPV... so keep off the badges (as you have said you will) and I personally would have gotten some rims that were a little more orignal rather then getting F6 rims... Is that a F6 badge on the front grill and a FPV front bar in your signiture or a pic of an actual F6?

Signiture Pic Is F6 (you Know I want One of those sic Machines).

Thanks for all your comments:

You no what, it was such a hard decision,to mess with a 3 week old car, but after going as far as I could with my BA N/a XT, and driving that for 3 years (and that thing lived it's whole life at 6000RPM) stepping up to the Xr turbo was such a big step.

I would have loved to have gone to an F6, but that level was just out of reach.

Love it or hate it it is mine and I can find it in the parking lot quite easily.

In saying that I did keep all the stock bits, so I must be unsure about somthing.

But it goes hard and I had to pull over today and load the soft tune on as it was my first drive in the wet (not used to that turbo screaming in) and was having trouble with traction.

Any way here is pic of my Low Futurapost-31935-1225889528_thumb.jpg

I've just gone and put a typhoon body kit on my car... Mine is a futura and its engine is stock for the moment.

I have no problem at all putting FPV badges on it once I get my engine tuned etc... after all FPV means Ford Performance Vehicle - not I just bought an F6 from factory.

My uncle just purchased an F6 after riding off his T on the way back from having it tuned at CV. The only difference I see between his F6 now, and his XR 6 T is the body kit, obviously different turbo, a few FPV badges, intercooler, but in the end, the performance from his slightly modded T and the F6 I would imagine was the same.

There is a blue Fairmont in my area, looks identical to an F6 apart from the rear boot lip with that little factory bling thing, he even has F6 badges... can't say I'm a fan of it, its not an F6 - but each to his own, nice car none the less.

I'm debadging mine, I've bought an aftermarket viper/cobra (no not the Ford Cobra Badge, totallt different) badge and put that on, I think it looks good on it, and and eventually I'll be putting FPV badges.

I want my car to be unique, and I think its every drivers personal choice and entirely upto them if they want to make it look like something its not, or if they want to make it completely unique.

If I badged mine F6 and made it look identical - it certainly doesn't harm the guy driving the F6 next to me on the highway - he can enjoy his ride, I'll enjoy mine. So to all those who don't fear being individual - cheers to you, I think your car looks good mate, I prefer to see cars with a touch a unique over stock - but I'm not worried about resale. I can certainly say, cars that are unique and look great, will turn heads more than the stocker - but F6's etc, they turn heads as is also.

Some people are too scared to be labelled fake these days

Mate, it's your car, do what ever the hell you want to it and bugger anyone else. I own an F6 and if I saw you driving next to me I would give a wave and think nothing of the fact that it is a mock up of sorts. Bottom line, if you think it looks good the that is all that matters. Cars are a personal expresiion of personality.

Keep in mind that there are a lot of tuff Ts out there that deserve to wear the FPV (Ford PERFORMANCE vehicle) badge more then then majority of the genuine stock FPV's.

Do what you want mate.. At the end of the day your not spending my $$$

I think YPURV4 has an FPV badge on the back, well deserved IMO
