Hey guys

Looking at getting a 07 R Spec in the very near future, people who own these or typhoons can you give me opinions on them, has anyone had any problems with them etc, and what are the R Specs 6spd autos to drive, im coming from a manual 04 XR6 Turbo.

cheers

Luke

You wont look back after driving with the zf. I came from a 6 speed manual into a new BF Phoon & the drive is awesome! Not sure what the differences are with the Rspec sorry...

Think about this, if you buy a F6 not an r spec you will have a 10g head start on mods, and then if you really want the "up graded suspension" you can buy a better after market one.

It was only a $1500 option for the RSpec and you got leather (RRP $2370), iPod plugin (RRP $150?), a build of only 300 (good for resale), floor mats (RRP $270) and that stupid suspension bullsh*t, but you'd be stupid not to buy one over a normal phoon.

If I were buying one again, I'd get the 6 pots on the front. If you want to go fast in a straight line, get a ZF, if you want to do circuit racing, get a T56 :spoton:

One im looking at is ZF, Just wanted to know what owners though of the ride on them, certainly isnt that big of a price difference compared to a normal typhoon, also looking at a BF 2 phoon with the ZF aswell, will just come down to final cost depending, I ve wanted a phoon for a while but the R spec is appealing.

Im guessin its gonna be a bit of a step up like ride quality wise, I have driven the ZF box in my mates BF2 an I love it changed me from wanting a manual.

anyone had any probs with them??

It's arguably one of the best gearboxes available mate. ZFs are in anything from boats to tanks to aeroplanes to machinery to trucks, buses and cars. Apart from a fully rebuilt gearbox, they're incredibly good for a standard product
