sparky2 Member 18 Member For: 16y 11m 16d Posted 03/11/08 06:55 AM Share Posted 03/11/08 06:55 AM I'v had the xforce boost gauge fitted for about 6 month and just recently I'v noticed that it didnt seem to be reading right it was reading down about 10psi. On start up the gauge reads 10-15psi into the vacuum before the ute is started. Has anyone come accross this? is it just a crook boost sender? Guest Guests Posted 03/11/08 06:57 AM Share Posted 03/11/08 06:57 AM It reads 10psi low & it took you 6 months to realise Yea sounds like the sender may be wired incorrectly or faulty. Guest Guests Posted 03/11/08 07:13 AM Share Posted 03/11/08 07:13 AM And the car seems to be running the same?I'd say faulty boost sensor or maybe a loose wire mate. Posted 03/11/08 07:42 AM Share Posted 03/11/08 07:42 AM Read on the manual that came with the boost gauge that I got off ya, Dean, that the metal filter is expendable and should be replaced every 3 months, so as not to ruin the boost sensor. Have you changed the metal filter at all, sparky2? Link to comment https://www.fordxr6turbo.com/forum/topic/51301-xforce-boost-gauge/#findComment-761440 Share on other sites

Guest Guests Posted 03/11/08 07:59 AM Share Posted 03/11/08 07:59 AM So is the boost guage mechanical??If there is a filter preventing sh*t getting in the sender unit & it was blocked for some reason, the sender mite be shagged now??
