It's certainly a colour you have to see in the flesh, pictures just can't seem to do it justice. Maybe it's all just an illusion!?!

I look at mine and it's PURPLE. I take a pic and it is NOT. DAMN! Just have to keep trying I guess...

Congrats mate, a good read.

I have one thing to say though, and its concerning the premium stereo.

I'd get the premium stereo solely because the standard stereo, in my opinon, sucks bigtime. The premium stereo is not much better if you ask me.

Its a 900 dollar option, and while the sound quality at low to medium volume is good, when you really want to pump it the subwoofer simply can't handle it. I'm just saying that for 900 dollars, the premium stereo just isn't good value for money. *Just my opinion!*

Cheers.

I have to agree with you about when you pump the sub it distorts. Unfortunately not really much can be done with the layout and design of the dash.. went to enquire about aftermarket DVD player and they couldnt work out how to put it without ruining half my dash.

helmut, premuim sound was a box I was going to tick.

Now im not sure if I should choose this option.

Does anyone else have the same opinion in regards to premuim sound and the subwoofer?

I do listen to a fair bit of bassy type music.

I went for the base system and will go aftermarket for my speakers sub amp etc the only prob i see at this stage is the headunit, i'd rather have a stacker that plays mp3's and sends via an fm modulator.

Rather than pay extra for a deck thats not goin to be to my liking.

Or a creative jukebox portable player plugged into the external jack of the excisting unit.(6gig of music mmmmmm).

The only difference i see is that i dont get the colour screen but i can live with that.

I have the premium sound in my car.. Listen to the basiest music on earth.. West Coast Rap and RnB. Nothing else..

The subby handles it beautifully and then some. Lets just say I don't play it low and mellow...

Love the premium solund in it.. Of course there is better. Had a $3000 system in my other car but as for a Ford standard system the premium system ROCKS!!!

Or is it better to go aftermarket??

I think youd be hard pressed to find an aftermarket alarm system that would intergrate at the moment.

But i'm having my doubt's even as i type this so i'm probably wrong.
