Guys,

Was thinking about this stripe thing while washing the T yesterday.

As those who are ainal about washing their cars like me will know. There is a grove in the front a rear bumpers for a moulding on the Futura's and Fairmonts.

I poped into my local dealer to get a price on the crome moulding for the Fairmont to put on the T's from and rear bumpers. Well After checking the price ($70 ea for the 2 front ones and $125 for the rear one) I suggested that I would not bother..

I went over the road to Autobahn and picked up some crome 6mm pin stripe tape for $5 and headed back home.

As the T had just had a bath I decided to put the stripes in the groves on the front a rear bumpers. (not down the side of the car)

Here are a few pics I have taken. INMHO it breaks up the full solid colour of the Phantom and does not look too bad.

Rear shot

What do you rekon.? (sorry for the poor lighting on the pics. Had to take them this morning on my way to work (early)!!

Looks OK, I'd have to see it in the flesh to make a final judgement though.

Has anybody thought about having the stripes painted on rather than a sticker?

Same here. Probably works better on the darker colours .

Aniken,

I have seen a white XR with Red stripes like this. It also looked nice.

Yeah, sorry, I meant silver probably works on darker colours. Didn't think about other colours, but now that you mention it
