It will be good to see how these go on the stock axels, as alot have not broken axels, just the cv.

Great to see an affordable alternative

What about the outers, aren't you just moving the stress down to them now, or did Albins tell you something more?

They get the same amount of stress no matter if there's a weaker link. They'll let go either way.

that's right. They do. But I dont believe they are a weak link..

The only driveline failures we have seen excluding transmission related ones are

1) CV ball cage from the Inner cv breaking, and dropping its balls (so to speak)

2) CV inner star splitting, and chewing out the spline

3) Broken axles (I personally havent seen this, but im sure its been mentioned here)

and

4) Tailshaft on 6speed autos. This is more to do with the 2.7:1 diff ratio putting more strain on the tailshaft.

Albins manufacture products to fix 1, 2 and 3. Number 4 is fixed by a custom made tailshaft rather than a factory unit.

As for the outer joint breaking.. No body has heard of it.. replacing 1, 2, and 3 might result in that happening, but if my guess is so, this wont happen until a higher torque level.
