Speaking of Magna's I had a little run with one a few days ago (VRX) it actually surprised me how quick he was ...it was close thru first and second ...but the rest was history...I got it to 100km the speed limit and backed off....will look at magnas differently now

I have seen a very sad case of this though. Last Sunday night went to a pub in Dickson (Canberra) and parked just ahead of me was a riced up '88/'89 TN Magna (think it was an Exec model). White with dark tints, and plenty of "Mugen Sports"-like decals on windows and such, and even a Ralliart badge on the back. The quaint little rainbow-looking spotties just set it off.

I own a similar model one, so I was almost embarrassed to park near it.

Hey guys,

I just thought I would share some of my experiences with a SSS N/A XR6.

Had a few drags so far,

Raced a integra type R (not the latest model, I think it was 99 model), I was beating till about till the end of the quarter when he just caught up and beat me about half a car length.

Raced a EL XR6 manual, had a bad start, but I caught up half down the quarter and pulled away and beat it roughly 3/4 to 1 car length.

Raced an EB manual with an EF engine, same story...

Now this is the interesting one, raced some one from this from, I cant remember his name, a XR6 turbo manual, he beat me by about 2.5 to 3 car lengths by the end of the run...

This is it so far... even the N/A goes this good, I cant imagine the Turbo model...I have to go for a ride in a T soon... :)

make sure you go to the next event in your state and I'm sure you'll get a chance at a ride and perhaps a drive of one

Hehe, people even try to pick races with me in my NA

Hehehe, yep, me too. It can be quite an experience at times. Laugh, swallow pride and wish forced induction was under the bonnet. Oh well. :D

17,400 kms are now on the clock and she's opened up nicely. You TURBO owners that have clocked 20,000 or more must be in heaven.

The N/A does have some family jewels but of course against the "T", hmmm, no contest (as you would expect).

In a months time the steel aggots will be a little larger....lol. 220-230kw would be NICE! <no forced induction as of yet> That's Phase II (Yet to be decided).

ummm, that will be nice, can't wait to see that, I can't touch mine because its a company leased car :(

ohh well, there is someone with an xr6 turbo I was thinking of waiting for the lease to run out and then seeing how much the lease company would sell it for :)

Yeah Baby!!!

I'm sure I'll let you guys know how it all goes. I'm just after a little more punch, not something that tears down the quarter mile under 12 seconds. See how she performs. If I'm happy with her, I may not need to go to the extra expense of getting a bolt on supercharger or turbo kit.

Time will tell.
