OK, It's time some of you were educated. I'm sick of seeing the wrong words used in society today (not just on forums). I'm not criticising spelling errors or typos, it's word useage that's been bugging me.

Firstly, there is no place on forums where text talk is acceptable. It shows a lack of respect for the prople you're talking to, and a lack of intelligence on your part.

The most common use of the wrong word is there instead of their. Get it right people, this is primary school level English. There is used in the context of place, as in "Over there", "There goes a hot car", etc

Their is used in possesive context. As in "I went to their house", or "I like their car".

Another one cropping up is the use of the word then instead of than. Then is for past context as in, "That was then, this is now".

Than is descriptive, as in "My car is better than yours"

Get it, got it, good.

Now carry on. :spoton:
