They just have different wiring connector points or something insignificant like that iirc?? GSS341 is the more commonly used one, but either will fit :3gears:

You wont require a retune. If your handy with some tools its not that hard to install at all. Should only take a couple of hours max.

I bought one and am pretty handy with the tools, being a sparky and all. Got as far as taking off the back seat...couldnt for the life of me work out how to take out the swirlpot. Got my mate a mechanic of 15years round to help, he got as far as taking the swirlpot out and couldnt take it apart to install the new pump. messed round with it for about an hour and read all the info on here on how to do it.. no go. Now just waiting for some time to get a tuner to install it maybe get my valve springs done at the same time.

Once you have the swirl pot out of the tank, its just a matter of a little patience, two screw drivers and some delicate force, if there is such a thing.

There are two tabs on the side of the pot that need to be held open by the screw dirvers, then the lower section of the pot slips off with force. Take your time and you will do it.

Regarding the Walbro's off ebay, make sure the seller isnt selling fakies as it will cost you more in the long run, and as for Gss341/342 etc as most of the guys before me have said, the 341 will be fine, although if you can get a 340, they have a larger inlet and the filter sits nice and flat on the base of the pot, but all will do fine.

I have installed both the 340 and 341's. As said above, get a 340 if you can, as the even the filter sits in the swirlpot nicer compared to them new crappy square filters that come with the 341's now. The 340 has a nice sock filter that slots into the swirlpot nicely, and it has a larger inlet.

IIRC the difference is that one of them (I think the 342) has the the outlet offset to the intake. Lets see if I can explain that better... if you hold the pump in front of you standing upright then the intake will be on the left of the pump and the outlet will be on the right of the pump or vice versa.
