Well For all you ladies out there that drive an auto with that mock up SSS shifter you can keep it. :oooh: that is if it does not snap off like what happened to some guy on the forum....

Lets just cast our mind back to the melb dyno day with auto's averaging 180-190 rwkw and manuals ranging from 200-210 RWKW there seems to be a 20rwkw difference.

Secondly if you actually know how to take off in a manual you might find not having boost at the start will actually benift you more because you will not have as much wheel spin and the turbo will kick in at 2.5 which is perfect...

Thirdy If you can race change a manual you would never ever drive an auto. I test drove the auto and sorry but I was verry disapointed the car is in control and I hate that ..... But if any of you ladies wanna have a manual v auto race bring it on!! :oooh:

I'm sorry but if you are suggesting the 5 speed manual is even close to the sss auto box, you need help.

forget personal preference. ask any professional driver or read any review on the xr6t and the overwhelming consensus is this.............the manual is crap!

I drove one, and to quote motor magazine " it makes the Late model camira gearbox look slick ".

no offense but you made the wrong choice brother

Dont forget that the manual has to grab for third just before the 100 mark where the auto surpases that in second with ease. One more shift for the manual means slower time. And yes I have dragged a manual and yes my auto was quicker. Sorry stick boys ya cars only faster where the speed limit ends. (awaits the scorn from the manual chaps)

Have to grab for third before a hundred is up ??? I think not buddy...I get to about 105 in 2nd gear...nice bit of misinformation there....

Cheers

Hasn't this been done to death? - we'll all have opinions on this argument and they will end no smarter or further advanced than the Ford vs Expensive Daewoo arguments so why go over it all AGAIN ???

ok enough

bottom line....there are times when I'm too lazy to change gears, that's why mine is auto

wouldn't life be boring if everything was the same

anyway, I'm sure we all agree that what's in front of the gearbox is awesome

enough said

Which Is Quicker 0-100km/h?, manual, auto or auto in manual mode?

Who's driving?

Is it a sunny day or is it raining??

Do both cars have the same tyres???

Are there any mods to either car????

What's the road liek dirt, tar or gravel?????

if you're getting to 105km/h in second gear, start looking in the rear view mirror

before long you will see bits of you're engine there

I get over 100kmh in 2nd gear in my manual quite easily. No problems with the engine as there is a rev limiter to stop me from revving too high. :D
