Hey guys I need some help. I have five figure personalised number plates but they dont fit on the boot of the car as the holes in the boot are fixed and I dont want to drill more holes. At the moment I have a strip of metal holdng the rear plate on but I have seen some people with a black plastic number plate backing. I want to know where I can get one if any of you know what I am talking about. Or if any of you have any suggestions as to how I could attach them give me a yell.

Thanks

Brendan

Yeah I have tried autobarn and all of that. May have to try the ford dealer. I have no doubt the guy will just look at me with that blank look. lol

***BUMP*** I have still had no luck with this issue. I have since been to a ford dealer and the bloke said he knew what I was talking about but he did not know where I could get one. There was even one on a G6E Turbo in the service department. It is only a small thing but my number plate is only just secured on the rear and continues to flap around. Any help would be appreciated. I always see them on other cars but have had no luck anywhere. I have even tried the local Expensive Daewoo dealer and nothing. I cant be going crazy, I know they exist.

Have you tried putting double sided tape on the plate and just fixing it to the boot that way?

The guy I bought mine from had done that and it looked great.

Was a #^@% trying to get it off when I bought my plates though.

Had not thought of that. Might have to take a look. I think I will want something a bit more secure though. Thanks

The double sided tape that the guy used was VERY secure.

I had to take the blade out of stanley knife and cut the tape in half while slowly bending the plate out of the way to get to the tape.

You physically couldn't put your fingers behind it to pull it off.

And even when it was 1/2 off you still couldn't pull it off I had to keep cutting the tape.

If someone wants your plates though they will take them......

Here is what mine looked like back then.

First time I noticed the black grommet things in the boot.

Guess that's why I went for full size plates in the end and not slimline.
