just car - 3700 and its a friggen rought. 2000 excess. then again im a first time insurance policy holder

that's the exact reason why I didn't get a turbo to start off with. I got quoted the same figure. But it is on my list for my next car.

Its all the more reason for you not to have an accident by having such a high excess

I'm 24 now, but was 23 when I got the car. I have my house and car insured through Wesfarmers Federation Insurance. Cost me $890pa for the car and $30 extra for windscreen. Rating 1. Hope it goes down next year.

Even when I was 18 I had a S13 Silvia turbo and it was only $1180, it was on my parents insurance but fully insured under me! Highly recommended.

this really annoys me... here we see such a range in premiums.. I'm 24, one claim, no loss of licence, no speeding fines and I'm paying 2k per year. yet, others, younger pay around 1k per year depending on company. Unfortunately, I can only go through certain companies, because racv won't insure me because I'm not from vic etc. and NRMA get f*ck themselves because I was with them, and because I lowered the car they told me to find insurance elsewhere... so someone else now gets the $1700 they used to get.

Even before my accident, I was a rating 1 and was still paying 2k per year. And I'm in canberra.... massive risk of the car being stolen here :spit: its a fu*king joke. I'm seriously thinking of getting it insured in my mums name. So much for giving the younger generation a start in life

one problem, get it insured under your parents name and guess what, the insurance company says your mum is the youngest driver ment to be using the car. Means you will not be covered in the event of theift or an accident.
