im 42 and got my t ute insured for 50 k (modified & engineered) with nrma for

$900 a year

just sold my t and pick up my new mk11 ba xr6t in shockwave on wednesday, only thing left was to organise insurance which considering I am 18 turnin 19 next week, I was not looking forward to doing this if it was gonna be anywhere near what I paid for the insurance on my old t.

any to cut a very long story short. I ranf 9 places all up and ended up with just cars being the only people offering me anything at 2370 which I thought was average. anyway I had one place left NRMA. I rang them and went through everything and she comes back at me with a quote for 1017 to which I asked her to make sure that this was for full comp and she said yes and I screamed to sign me up immediately. I also asked her about mods and she said as long as they are legal then there is no prblem and the total value of modifications is less than the value of the car. best part of all this is because I had 2 grand saved for insurance and its only half of that I know have enough to get my edit finally.

Good stuff dude.

I was quoted on a BF F6 this week by just cars - $1300+.

That's including one license disqualification in the last 3 yrs for a 30yr old driver.

I'll check NRMA and see what they say.

I rand nrma and they told me they would not insure anyone under 25 with 'a high proformance car'. they must have changed? that's a good price considering your age well done

For those under 21 and/or still on P plates, what happens when you visit Victoria?

Because in Vic you are not allowed to drive a T because of the power wieght ratio.

I heard if you write to vic roads and plead with them that the T is your only car and I need if for work and cant have anything else ... be nice to me ... they will write something for you to show cops
