When the policy and the booklet arrives, be EXTRA SURE it lists all the mods in words that satisy you and are accurate. If not, write in with details, and keep a copy of the letter. Ask for written confirmation of your policy and that it reflects your mods accurately. The reason I say this is because I know a couple of people who were burnt by the fact the person on the phone was on sales commission, and said :sure, no problem" when told about a mod, but didnt enter it into the system. Insurance claims then caused a sh1t fight. Get it in writing especially from insurers that give low prices. Many insurers will look for reasons to decline your insurance. There is a trend that the cheaper they are, the less they can afford to pay out and the more they will look for excuses not to. Remember, if its not in writing, it doesnt exist. Your recollection of a phone call will count for zero if the sh1t hits the fan and the mods arent listed in writing. Its much better to be safe than sorry when dealing with insurers - particularly when organising things by phone.Assuming that all goes well, that's great value for a hot car! Posted 17/06/05 06:24 AM Share Posted 17/06/05 06:24 AM Hi guysI am wondering what others under the age of 25 are doing about insurance for their T???Basically I have had the jack of NRMA and I want to change insurers. Most said come back when your 25 or wanted to charge outrageous amounts... Most cases they didn't even care about my driving history (talk about narrow minded)... To give you guys an idea of my driving history I'm 23, been on my license now for 6 years, hold a 65% NCB, and never had an at fault accident...Any real life accounts from the under 25s on the forum??? Hazey Member 234 Member For: 21y 3m 3d Posted 17/06/05 06:57 AM Share Posted 17/06/05 06:57 AM I am 22 and from sydney with NRMA pay just under 3,000, clean record, 60%NCBThey were the only one that would insure me and treated me right.I tried Just cars.. were more expensive and I dont trust them. NRMA go by years of driving not years of insurence, so when I turn 23 It should drop about 1,000 (which is in 6months) Howeever!, in saying that I just jumped onto their online quote system (which is what I used before I applied) and the quote was 4,500 wtf???So now I am thinking they will up my premiumAidan
