Whats that all about? I would be more concerned about floormats if I was them. Cheap floormats can be a real hazard.

Cheap floormats can be a real hazard.I am looking at upgrading my car at the moment and have been ringing around for quotes. RACV quoted me $1200 for an SS with full exhaust, edited PCM, CAI, and diff. They also said if I made more mods the premium would not change by more than $60, as long as the car remained legal. Might be worth calling back and getting aniother operator. (All drivers over 30, postcode 3132)

At least if the police pull you over for something then the following could occur....Taking a look under the bonnet.... hummmmm looks like I'll need to give you an unroadworthy cert due to intercooler, headers, exhaust, fuel pump, lowered. You've probably got a chip, bigger injectors and probably some other bits and pieces.Yes officer, your right with all the modifications, however if you care to take a look at my engineers certificate, you will notice that all is accounted for.In this case, the officer will need to let you off for the roadworthy.Just my 2 cents worth.Daniel

I'm now with AAMI they allow me 3 mods. (chip, exaust and the cold air intake). I don't have an extra fuel pump and my injectors were Re-bored.By the way I was paying $1050 with RACV now with AAMI I pay $620 with $1000 excess. In Victoria 3152 no drivers under 25. Need to take care though as they only allow 3 mods thus my Phase II does not have and apparently now does not need fuel pump but injectors, exhaust and chip ok. Get them on a bad day though and you could the person on the end of the phone classing a tow pack or tinted windows as mods rather than accessories.Dingah

I am 30 and live in Melbourne, never made a claim for anything in my life. I found Just car insurance were the best for me. It is a daily work ute which hurts my premium but at $1840 per annum was the cheapest I could find with all of my mods listed, right down to the heavy duty valve springs.Good luck with it.xrdeaming. I just left RACV as they upped my premium for no reason then will not insure with any mods. Now with AAMI $860, 30 years old, clean record and can have 3 mods. Just have not listed injectors or fuel pump.
